Medley Machine continues to hire and train only the best - all employees have worked through a four-year apprentice program and many have post-secondary educational training in the industry. Medley Machine currently employs 8 highly skilled technicians, the majority having been with the company for many years. Our low turnover rate allows you, our valued customer, to talk to the same people on a regular basis.

HISTORY

Luis Manuel Diaz founded Gondia Machine Shop, Inc., in 1973 and then Medley Machine Shop, Inc., in 1994.

When Luis Manuel founded Gondia, he also worked as full time employee for CATO Machine. After he accomplished with his regular job tasks at CATO Machine he had to go to his shop and finished all pending work that his closest friend Mr. Romero collected for Luis Manuel during the day.

Luis Manuel did not finish with all the jobs order at his shop, he was not able to take a rest. It was years that during several nights Mr. Diaz remained to sleep a couple of hours in the shop for complying with its full time job the next day.

Everything began with an old green lathe machine. Mr. Romero tells that he was in a truck auction where he discovered a brush, a press and a lathe machines that nobody wanted buy because they were too old and in badly state. Once the auction was finished, Mr. Romero offered $ 100.00 (ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS) for all three pieces and passed on to Luis Manuel Diaz as a gift. Despite the bad conditions of this old equipment, incredibly Luis Manuel Diaz and his friend Pedro Gonzalez repaired and made them worked efficiently. The lathe machine was a Lebron brand made in France.

Since that time many years have passed and at present time new equipment is in use but the old lathe LeBron is kept like an important part of the business.

Luis Manuel Diaz also knew how to treat his clients and employees. He was celebrating meetings and parties on the weekend to share time, food and experiences that permitted to consolidate the harmony environment that today exists at Medley Machine Shop, Inc.

The cooking pots went enlarging of size with the years.

In the spring of 2003, Gondia Machine moved to Medley Machine location at 9452 NW Street where both companies remain as part of an industrial community to this day.

Founder Luis Manuel Diaz ran the company until February 23, 2004 when his son Luis Alberto Diaz took over.

Luis Manuel Diaz inherited its successors the values that today are more important for the Business. Hard Work, Perseverance, Responsibility, and Quality Service.

Medley Machine's greatest asset is it's highly skilled and professional work force. All employees have worked through a specialized apprentice program and most of them have been with the company for many years.

The Medley Machine journeymen will turn their hand to any job within the machining and welding field.
